The light-protected infusion solution administration set is designed for administering infusion solutions whose active substance changes under the influence of light photons.
The specially designed two-layer light-protective construction of the set reliably protects the active substance of pharmaceutical preparations from degradation when exposed to light, while at the same time allowing visual monitoring of the solution administration process and the quality and condition of the solution being administered.
The light-protected infusion solution administration set is widely used in medical institutions in the fields of endocrinology, oncology, cardiology, in cases of cerebral circulatory disorders, etc.
Main technical specifications:
- The system has a protective microfilter with a 15µm pore size and a Luer connector, to which a needle with a diameter of 0.8 mm is attached.
- The sterile infusion set is equipped with a semi-rigid transparent reservoir with an air valve and a Y-shaped latex-free port for additional injections.
- Total length of the system tubing - at least 1600 mm, length from the distal end to the drip chamber 1250-1500 mm.
- Color of the system: there should be no discoloration.
- The roller clamp smoothly adjusts the infusion rate 20 drops = 1 ml.
- The metal spikes for piercing stoppers have a "pencil" type tip, which reduces the risk of stopper fragmentation and the likelihood of needle obstruction.
- The air intake spike (or the air intake valve of the system reservoir) has a waterproof fiberglass membrane for air filtration. The air filtration rate is 95%, which reduces the risk of compromising the sterility of the infused solution.
- Material of the reservoir and tubing - medical-grade polyvinyl chloride.

- use for infusion of paclitaxel (for paclitaxel administration, a set that does not contain polyvinyl chloride is used)
- use if the packaging and/or product is damaged;
- use several times;
- store after opening the package.
